  • Notes: In June Mahler quickly wrote a complete suite of incidental music for the main item in a charity evening of operatic extracts. This was for a series of “Tableaux Vivants” based on Joseph Victor von Scheffel (1826-1886)‘s popular narrative poem “Der Trompeter von Sackingen”.
