Salon Goldschmied (from 1866 until 1920), maison Goldschmied, also called Gogo. Gogo is later used by Franz Werfel (1890-1945) in 1927 in “Das Trauerhaus”.
Mahler practiced piano at night in The Japanese room of the Peacock, letting nobody in, until early in the morning. He probably went here not to disturb his neigbours.
He was called Kapellmeister here, but nickname was “Meschuggenen” (the Idiot).
