During the National Casino’s operation, national and patriotic emotions have always been faithful, involved in the joy and mourning of the nation, and although the relief of individual and private miseries could not be diverted by the sacrifices of their own individual goals, with national and public goals.

The 1848-1849 War of Independence also found the National Casinos in the national aspirations, and when the government called for the inhabitants of the country, the National Casino had hurried all its gold and silver, and the 20,000 pengy-forint fortune for the soldier’s house was voluntarily As a patriot sacrifice to go down to the altar of the home; Similarly to the floods in Szeged.

On 22 January 1896, in the memory of a thousand years of statehood in Hungary, he made a foundation of HUF 10,000 for the development of the national language and for the advancement of national development, and distributed it among the 14 cultural cultures of Hungary. From 1830 onwards, the National Casino operated at the Vogel House in Dorottya Street in Pest and at the Lloyd Palace in Pest. In 1859 he first leased it and in 1871 acquired the Cziráky Palace. The building was built in 1874-1884 according to Miklós Ybl’s plans for the National Casino. His rooms were furnished with the most valuable objects and furniture of the era, and his library contained more than 30,000 volumes.
