We return to a presentation on a crucial dimension of performance: Tempo.

Lew Smoley is back with more examples from the symphonies of Mahler and the tremendous range of interpretation in examples from the Adagietto of the Fifth Symphony, the finale of the First, and other telling passages.

Hearing these direct comparisons with recordings by leading conductors will open up new questions about just how we hear these works and even what Mahler may have intended.

There will be a Q&A session at the end of the webcast to allow for questions from the live audience.
