Eduard Wlassack (also Eduard Flassac) was a lawyer at the Vienna State Opera. He worked at the Regierungsrat and was from 1881 until 1893 manager and accountant at the Vienna Court Opera unter Leopold Friedrich von Hofmann. He had a lot of influence concerning promotions. He was a friend of Rosa Papier and was the main promotor of Gustav Mahler in Vienna. At its centenary in 1876 he wrote Die Chronik des Burgtheaters (Chronik des k. k. Hof-Burgtheaters. Wien 1876)
