Newspaper 1906. Translation from Dutch: Ms. Maria Seret made her deput in the Concertgebouw (not in Amsterdam) last week. Press and public were very enthusiastic. End of this month she will also perform in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (Netherlands). She is the daugher of former member of parliament Secret. Her first singing teacher was Mrs. Ypes-Speet. Later she went for her education to Berlin where she often gave performances with great succes. She will have a great career.

Daughter of the member of parliament in the Netherlands (Tweede Kamer) Hendrik Seret (30-08-1845 Leedam – 23-12-1912 Amsterdam). He was for the ARP party in the Tweede Kamer from 1880-1905. He had two sons and two daughter (one of them being Maria Seret).  Her father married on 13-11-1875 in The Hague with Maria Jeanette Leonora Noordendorp.
