She was the daughter of a Viennese coffeehouse owner and originally wanted to become a pianist. After her voice had been trained by Emma Götzl in Vienna, she began her career at the Court Theater in Wiesbaden in 1896 with a successful debut as Elisabeth in “Tannhäuser”. From Wiesbaden she performed in Frankfurt a.M. (as Leonore in “Troubadour”) and in Cologne (as Aida and as Valentine in the “Huguenots” by Meyerbeer). In 1899 she was obliged to a guest performance at the Vienna Court Opera, where she worked until 1901.
In 1901 concert in Scheveningen near The Hague, the Netherlands. In 1902 she became the first dramatic soprano to the opera house of Leipzig. After leaving the Leipzig Opera House, she sang at the Theater of Graz and until 1919 gave numerous guest appearances at the Vienna Court and State Opera. In addition to the games already mentioned, Senta was the highlight of the Flying Dutchman, Elsa in Lohengrin, Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana, Rachel in Halévy’s La Juive and Sulamith in Goldmark’s Queen of Saba in her repertoire for the stage.
