The site where The Charles IV (Karel IV, Karl IV, Carolus IV) restaurant stood. On 12-08-1881 the National Theater in Prague burned down. A week later the Vlašim reading club organizes in taverne U Karla IV (Charles IV tavern) a charity concert. Mahler (21 years old) played piano with performances by local singers.
Emperor Charles IV (1316-1378), King of Bohemia, Prague. His son is King Wenceslaus IV.
