On the occasion of his participation in a dilettante performance of the operetta Des Löwen Awakening his voice caught on and they advised him to train them for the stage. In 1889 he renounced his teaching post, completed his musical education with Joseph Gänsbacher in Vienna, opera singer Josef Leo in Prague and finally Maestro Gellio Benvenuto Coronaro in Milan, and joined after completing his studies in 1892 his first engagement in Pressburg as a “troubadour” ,
After that, he sought another year in Olomouc to acquire further stage practice, in 1894 to be able to afford Max Staegemann’s call to the Leipzig Stadttheater as a lyrical tenor. He made his debut there as “Canio” and “Don Ottavio”. After two years of work, he received a call to the court theater in Darmstadt (inaugural role “Don José” in Carmen). In 1899 he moved to the Vienna State Opera, where he remained until 1902. His other artistic life is unknown.
