The family lived here from 1860-1872 (12 years). The flnancial situation of Bernard Mahler (1827-1889) gradually improved to the point where, in november of 1872, he was able to buy the neighboring house: House Gustav Mahler Jihlava 1872-1889 (Znojemska street No. 264-6-1088), into which the family moved. Bernard also moved the tavern and the still-room to this location.

The house underwent extensive renovations in 2008-2009.
